The Italian Government has now indicated its approval of the proposal of this Government to obtain from the Governments which participated in the Conference on Limitation of Armament the adoption of the amended resolution covering shipments of arms and munitions of war to China. You will so inform the Government to which you are accredited requesting it in view of its favorable attitude announced at the time of the Conference, to indicate to this Government through you its formal approval of the amended resolution which reads as follows:—
