The Italian Government having acquiesced this government is instructing its representatives at London, Paris, Tokyo, Rome, Brussels, The Hague and Lisbon, to approach the Governments to which they are respectively accredited with the request that they each now indicate their formal approval of the resolution in amended form (see page 737 of Senate Document 12670) which was offered during the Conference on Limitation of Armaments at Washington. You will inform those of your colleagues who represent powers which participated in the Conference of this action on the part of this Government.
