816. Foreign Office informs me that it is the intention of German Government to appoint Doctor Karl Lang as chargé d’affaires in Washington and Doctor Kraske counsellor of legation in the consulate general at New York. Lang served in the German Foreign Office during the war and was formerly German consul general in Montreal. An early agreement is requested as it is desired Lang sail on December 17.28
