If there should be further need of animals for Army, cannot these be employed and save exportation of ammonium sulphate to Spain in exchange for mules? Is it [Page 1715] possible that with the conclusion of an armistice this purchase of mules would not need to be consummated since we are very anxious to save the ammonium sulphate? Offer them flour.
