Agreement between His Britannic Majesty’s Government and the Danish Special Shipping Committee (Fragtnavn):

1.
So long as the agreement between the War Trade Board of the United States of America and the Danish Special Shipping Committee (Fragtnavn) of September 18, 1918, hereafter referred to as the United States-Danish shipping agreement of September 18, 1918, remains in force the following agreement shall take the place of the Anglo-Danish coal and tonnage agreement of June 20, 1917.

In the event of the termination of the United States-Danish shipping agreement of September 18, 1918, then the Anglo-Danish coal and tonnage agreement of June 20, 1917, shall revive as from the date of the termination of the United States-Danish shipping agreement of September 18, 1918.

With reference to clause No. 1 of the United States-Danish shipping agreement of September 18, 1918, it is agreed that in return for 200,000 tons deadweight of Danish steam and motor tonnage thus placed at the disposal of His Majesty’s Government, licenses will be granted, subject to the usual conditions, and provided that home and other essential requirements permit, for export from the United Kingdom to Denmark in Danish ships of 100,000 tons of coal per month.2
