6678. My 6386, June 7.1 Foreign Office now states that a letter has been received from the Ministry of Munitions setting forth that the question raised in your 4902 is still being considered and that in the meantime supplies of Spanish pyrites are available and can be had if and when tonnage is procurable} adding that Minister of Munitions has been urged to do everything possible to facilitate American purchases of this material. Foreign Office further states it has been informed by Ministry of Shipping that steps have already been taken to load some additional cargoes of pyrites to American ports and that further tonnage will be provided as opportunity occurs.
