Have thoroughly investigated matter and am unable to find any basis for report contained in your 2272, 13th.¹ Understand, however, that British Government has informal arrangement with certain Danish steamship lines plying between American and Danish ports to the effect that they will not accept shipments consigned to certain firms in Denmark, under suspicion of British Government.
