Mr. Olney to Mavroyeni Bey.
Washington, June 27, 1895.
Sir: I have the honor to acknowledge receipt of your note of the 22d instant, in relation to the interview which you had with the late Secretary of State on April 4 last.
In the light of your statements it may be that Mr. Gresham referred to the ultimate firman fortifying and making perpetual the concession of the irade issued in January to the girls’ school at Scutari. The firman is still awaited.
