Sir: I inclose herewith copy of the concurrent
resolution adopted by the Senate on the 21st instant, and agreed to by
the House of Representatives on the following day, expressing the
gratification of the Congress at the honors paid to the memory of Mr.
Isaac P. Gray by the Mexican Government.
The engrossed copy is now being prepared and will be sent to you, when
completed, for delivery to the Government of Mexico.

Resolved by the Senate (the
House of Representatives concurring), That the Congress of
the United States has learned with high gratification of the special
honors paid to the memory of the deceased by the Government of
Mexico upon the occasion of the death of the Hon. Isaac P. Gray,
late minister of the United States, near the Republic of Mexico.
Resolved, That in token of the appreciation of
the same, the Secretary of State be requested to forward to the
Mexican Government an enrolled copy of this resolution.
