Mr. Wharton to Mr. Tsui Kwo Tin.
Washington, March 1, 1893.
Sir: I have the honor to say with reference to your personal suggestions touching an arrangement by which a case involving the constitutionality of the “Geary act” shall be heard by the Supreme Court [Page 245] at this term, that, according to the views of the Acting Attorney-General, in a letter of the 20th ultimo, it seems proper, as the court will not meet for business until the 6th proximo, that the matter be determined by the incoming Attorney-General. He adds that the question will be brought to his attention promptly.
Accept, etc.,
Acting Secretary.
