I herewith send you an extract from a communication which has this day been addressed to this department by the United States minister, relative to the disturbance with seamen belonging to the cruiser Baltimore.
Be pleased to send to this department, as speedily as possible, a report of the examination held concerning this matter, the documents snowing the origin and state of the investigation, if the examination is not concluded, and such other antecedents as may show the course which has been pursued by the local authorities.
