Sir: I herewith inclose a copy of a dispatch,* No. 147, of the 2d ultimo, received from Mr. Heap, chargé at Constantinople, in which he informs the Department of the release from imprisonment by the Sultan, at the request of Mr. Wallace, of five Greeks.
You may inform the Greek Government of the facts, as evincing the friendship of the United States for that country.
