The council of Oftringen to the Bundesrath, Berne:
Gentlemen: The citizens of Oftringen, at a public meeting this day, unanimously adopted the following resolution:
- “Resolved, That we accord our most sincere sympathy to the North American republic in its great victories, and give our most cordial condolence for the murder of its great President Lincoln.”
