Address of the Board of Trade of the city of London, Canada West, to Mr. Johnson.

The Board of Trade of the city of London, Canada West, desire to express their deep sympathy with the government and people of the United States, in the great loss the nation has sustained by the untimely death of Abraham Lincoln, their late President, who has fallen in the prime and vigor of life by the hand of an assassin. They feel that the act is one deserving the deepest execration of all civilized communities, and that at this critical period of this history of the United States, it is a great calamity to the government and people of that country and to the whole civilized world. The board of trade also desire respectfully to offer their condolence with Mrs. Lincoln and her family, and hope that with the blessing of God they will be sustained under this trying bereavement.
