Sir: I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your note of the 28th of March last, and of its enclosures, numbered 1 to 5, inclusive, calling the attention [Page 597] of this government to the said documents which refer to the events occurring in the Mexican republic, at their respective dates.
While thanking you for the information thus communicated, which is contained in your note and its interesting accompaniments, I avail myself of the opportunity to tender to you, sir, the assurance of my very distinguished consideration.
