Sir: I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of Mr. Burnley’s note, together with its accompaniments, from the governor general of Canada, in regard to the allegations of Mr._____, concerning an organization existing in Canada, having for its object the destruction of adjacent towns in the United States. I beg you will cause to be conveyed to Lord Monck my thanks for the information.
