L said he would do it, but they are concerned about L’s Seabed thing. K said not to worry about it. K said he called Dave on Seabed matter and if L could get him some of his suggested changes he would appreciate it. L said they were sent over a couple of days ago. K said President then said he would talk to Gerry and say his condition for going ahead with it would be to include L’s changes - that way he could buy more time on SALT. L said he understood. K said Pres will not make a ruling like that until everyone has chance to express views.
