DEVELOPMENTS IN LAOS DURING THE SUMMER 1968
Summary
The rainy season this summer in Laos brought no major or important military changes. The lull in the fighting and the apparent reluctance of the Communists to press their dry season advantage has given the government side a much needed respite. But although the modest gains [Page 743] made by government troops since June have improved their tactical situation and their morale, the Communists are in a stronger position in Laos than they have been at any time since 1963.
