93. Editorial Note

On February 29, the Department of State and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development issued separate press releases concerning the proposed settlement of the Indus Waters dispute. In its statement, the Department of State expressed the support of the United States Government for the IBRD-sponsored plan for settling the Indus Waters dispute and noted that the contribution proposed by the Bank for the United States consisted of $177 million in grant aid, $103 million in loans, and $235 million in local currencies to be derived from the operations of various U.S. programs in Pakistan.
