220. Editorial Note

On September 26, the United States and India concluded a new agreement under Title I of P.L. 480. Under the terms of the agreement, the United States was to sell approximately $238.8 million worth of wheat, corn, and grain sorghums to India. The agreement also provided that the Indian rupees accruing under the agreement would be used for loans to the Indian Government for the financing of economic development projects, certain grants, and meeting U.S. expenditures in India.
