[Here follow a paragraph listing the participants at the meeting and agenda items 1–2.]
3. U.S. Policy Toward Greece (NSC 5718/1; OCB Report on NSC 5718/1, dated September 14, I960)1
Mr. Harr summarized the referenced Operations Coordinating Board report on the subject, calling attention to five aspects of our policy toward Greece: Cyprus, Greco-Soviet relations, the economic situation in Greece, Greco-Turkish relations, and U.S. economic and military assistance programs for Greece. Mr. Harr said many portions of the policy [Page 727] paper were considerably out of date. However, the OCB had recommended a review of the policy rather than a mere updating. Mr. Gray said the Planning Board would proceed with a review of NSC 5718/1.
