177. Editorial Note

On June 16, William P. Boteler, American Vice Consul at Nicosia, was killed by a bomb thrown by an unidentified assailant in a restaurant in the Old City of Nicosia. Three other Americans were injured in the attack. According to preliminary police reports, there was no evidence that Boteler or any other American was selected as a target.
