On February 19, in Tokyo, representatives of Japan, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the Philippines, the Union of South Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States (the latter acting for the Unified Command) signed an Agreement concerning the Status [Page 1609] of United Nations Forces in Japan, with Agreed Official Minutes and Protocol.
