Secretary of State Acheson was Chairman of the United States Delegation to the Seventh Session of the United Nations General Assembly, which opened in New York on October 14, 1952. On October 16, he spoke to the General Assembly in an address entitled “Achieving the Goals of the Charter.” His speech is printed in the Department of State Bulletin, October 27, 1952, pages 639–645.
