Editorial Note
Among the agreements signed on May 26 at Bonn was a letter from Chancellor Adenauer to the Allied High Commissioners which stated that none of the agreements referring to the Saar in the complex of the contractual arrangements implied any recognition by the Federal Republic of the present status of the Saar.
