- Asked whether any truth in press reports, some emanating from US, to effect that strong pressure being brought by British interests [Page 48] China for early recognition Chinese Communist Government, Foreign Office states very little truth. Pressure from British interests China at minimum; British interests appear at present content leave matters in hands British Government and to accept consequences.
