360. Governor Chen Cheng49 addressing agricultural meeting August 6 declared publication of White Paper should in no way dampen hearts of Chinese in resisting Communists. Instead, it should be a blessing to Chinese people. In past, people have been relying too much on support for agricultural help from US. This has created subconsciously in minds and in attitude deep spirit of dependence, which is subjecting nation to status of semi-colony. Publication of White Paper should banish from hearts forever such illusion and false hopes. From now on, we should be on our own entirely and self help is the best help.
