884. ReEmbtel 881, July 18. Following arrest Choi Yung Sik Saturday, four other newspaper reporters arrested later same day: Lee Moon Nam, reporter Korea Press; Pak In Hwan, reporter Cha Too Shin Moon; Sam Rai Sup, reporter Koo Kto Shin Moon; Huh Moon Taek, reporter Cho Sun Chong Ang Daily. All five arrested assigned cover UNCOK press conferences and presumed to have prepared Communist-slanted questionnaire handed UNCOK delegate Singh July 14, copy of which being air pouched.1 Lee Ho, Director National Police, informed AP correspondent today all five have since confessed membership SKLP, Communist underground organization South Korea. Arrested men held incommunicado since arrest despite requests US reporters and UNCOK secretariat see arrested men.
