1. The Foreign Agents Registration Act was approved June 8, 1938, 52 Stat. 631. It was amended by the Act of August 7, 1939, 53 Stat. 1244, and further amended by the Act approved on April 29, 1942 (effective on June 28), 56 Stat. 248, which transferred its administration from the Department of State to the Department of Justice.
