In conversations with reps OAR here respecting Peru Dept making following points:
- 1.
- US will naturally not wish take action contrary Resolution 35 unanimously approved Bogotá.
- 2.
- In view revolutionary and military character Junta Govt US wishes ascertain attitudes OAR before resuming normal relations.
- 3.
- Res 35 imposes no obligation merely stating: continuity desirable.
- 4.
- No time limit as to when formal action should be taken.
