Subject: Arms Exports to China.

With reference to a memorandum of telephone conversation dated April 16, 1947 between Mr. Bang-Jensen, Counselor of the Danish Embassy, and Mr. Penfield, on the above-mentioned subject, I informed Mr. Bang-Jensen today we have told the Chinese that we are now prepared to give favorable consideration to applications for export licenses covering shipments of arms to China.
