It is such a clear picture of the situation that I have passed copies to the President, Leahy,⁵⁸ Forrestal⁵⁹ and Petersen.⁶⁰ In the Department I have shown it to Lovett⁶¹ and Armour.⁶² I want you to know that your approach to the problem has my complete approval. The situation appears most discouraging. If you need anything from this end, please let me know.
