My Dear Mr. Chargé d’Affaires: I have received your letter of August 121 advising me that your government’s delegation for the forthcoming talks on financial matters will arrive in Washington this weekend in anticipation of discussions beginning Monday.
[Page 56]On our side these discussions will be conducted by the National Advisory Council on International Monetary and Financial Problems, of which, as you know, the Secretary of Treasury is Chairman. I have informed Mr. Snyder of the contents of your letter.
