16. In view of explanation contained urtel 10, Jan 25,61 US Government considers note quoted urtel 11, Jan 25, as acceptance of Australian, Government to participate in Far Eastern Commission. Please inform Australian Government orally that US Government has, in participation in the FEAC, consistently demonstrated its full support of the democratic procedures which characterized the work of that organization and is confident that the same spirit of cooperation which was evident in its deliberations will be continued in the FEC, also that the US Government, for its part, intends to give full consideration to the decisions made by the FEAC and to make full use of the preparatory workdone by that Commission.62
