I. Report of the Deputies

The Council adopted the order of items submitted by the Deputies for the meeting (C.F.M. (46) 25).96

II. Allied Inspectorate in Italy and Treaty Commission

As no agreement was reached on this question, the Council passed on to the next item.

III. Austro-Italian Frontier

The Council adopted the proposal contained in the Deputies Report to the following effect:

  • “1) Having again considered the Austrian requests for the rectification of the Austro-Italian frontier, the Deputies confirmed that these requests do not represent minor rectifications within the meaning of the decision taken by the Council of Foreign Ministers on 14th September 1945.
  • Consequently, the requests cannot be given consideration.
  • “2) The Austrian Government shall be officially informed of the decision of 14th September 1945 and of the fact that their requests are not considered consonant with that decision and can, therefore, not be given consideration”.97

IV. Next Meeting of the Council

The proposal contained in the Deputies Report was adopted: the Deputies to meet in the afternoon at 4 p.m. in order to prepare the work for the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers on Thursday, 2nd May, at 12 a.m.
