I Recommendations of the Paris Conference on the Peace Treaty With Italy7Continuation of the Discussion

Articles 3, 4, and 16

It was decided to adjourn consideration of the recommendations on Articles 3, 4, and 16 until the next discussion of the draft Peace Treaty [Page 1070] with Italy, which it was agreed would be held after the Council had discussed the Paris Conference recommendations with regard to the draft Treaties with Roumania, Bulgaria, Hungary, and Finland and any other points on those Treaties which the Members of the Council might wish to raise.

Article 14

It was agreed to adopt Article 14 as it appears in the Draft Treaty.

Article 14(A)

It was agreed to refer the recommendation on this Article to the Deputies who should submit an agreed text for the approval of the Council.

New Article, between Articles 14 and 15 Fascist Organizations

It was agreed to adopt as a basis the first part of the draft text of this Article up to the words “democratic rights,” and to refer the article to the Deputies to prepare a new draft connecting it with Article 30 of the Armistice Agreement with Italy and to submit this draft for the approval of the Council.

Article 25(A)

There was an exchange of views on this article.

Annex III

It was agreed to refer Annex III to the Economic Experts for study.

Annex VII [Parts I, II, and IV]8

It was agreed to refer Annex VII, Parts I, II, and IV, to the Economic Experts for study.

Article 64, Part D, Reparation for other Powers

It was agreed to refer Part D of Article 64, which had in principle been adopted by the Council of Foreign Ministers, to the Economic Experts for drafting.
