Today’s papers published brief item quoting Secretary’s statement55 that Lend-Lease deliveries will be continued in amounts necessary for achieving quick and final victory with minimum losses and that no other consideration than changing military situation will dictate changes in Lend-Lease program after defeat of Germany.
Nothing has appeared in Under Secretary’s statement56 regarding reduction in Lend-Lease program for Soviet Union.
