2696. Reurtel 347 April 5, 8 P.M. Cornea 208. In order to expedite agreement on control machinery for Austria you are authorized to consent to inclusion of the word “reparation” in the title of the control division under reference. You should make it clear that this Government is willing to agree in principle to the payment of reparation by Austria on the understanding that such reparation will not be exacted until the Moscow Reparation Commission shall have given thorough consideration to the form and volume thereof.
