191. Re Athens’ 14 to Dept, rptd Paris 1. Rueff has informed White that Greek Minister here called on behalf of his Govt to inquire whether in the event Greece failed to sign reparations agreement it would still be possible for Greek Govt to obtain its quotas of reparations. Rueff replied “absolutely not”. The Greek Minister left Rueff with the impression that he was going to recommend to his Govt that agreement be signed.35
