2. Norwegian Series. Your 3, January 8, 4 p.m. Foreign Minister Lie was advised on January 12 of our position regarding non-reversal of earlier decision in Norsk Hydro case.

After consultation with EWD5 which in turn has consulted MEW6 (Dingle Foot7) I am refraining from informing Norwegians of our detailed objections to the transaction, believing it inadvisable to open up a discussion at this time.
