234. Last night MacFarlane told Captain Stone72 to notify Bonomi that subject to his signing the two undertakings embodied in Advisory [Page 1136] Council resolution (see my 225, June 18, 9 a.m., from Kirk73) Allied Governments approved his Government and after following required procedure under Italian constitution it could be installed.
Bonomi told Captain Stone that he would sign required undertakings today at about 6 p.m. The Allied Governments decision has been brought to attention of Lieutenant of Realm and Badoglio.
