The views set out in Department’s 342 of May 1, 1 p.m., regarding recognition Korean Provisional Government were communicated orally yesterday to Political Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs who told me confidentially that following a recent conversation between the President and T. V. Soong the matter is again being reconsidered here and recognition is likely to be postponed at least until some more favorable moment.
