52. The Department is of course extremely interested in the purpose of Sir Stafford Cripps’ proposed visit to India³³ and in the reception accorded his offer. You are requested therefore to transmit by telegraph with the least possible delay all information which you may be in a position to obtain regarding the proposed formula and the Hindu and Moslem reaction thereto.
