Reference Chefoo’s July 5, 3 p.m. to Peiping.90 I have today lodged a strong protest with the Foreign Minister regarding the outrageous incident involving trespass by two armed and uniformed Japanese on the American Presbyterian Mission at Chefoo and attacks by them on American citizens therein.91
