Our 269, April 20, 5 p.m.30 This morning’s vernacular press reports that, after an interview with the Secretary of State on April 20, Ambassador Horinouchi announced that Japan and the United States have reached an agreement in principle with regard to the question of the maintenance of the status quo of the Dutch East Indies.31
