143. In a statement on Palestine in the Council this afternoon72 the British representative stated that the recent White Paper would be circulated to members of the Council and that he would not go into details of British plan until opportunity had been had to examine document in detail. A full opportunity for discussion would be given at a later session of the Council after the measure had been debated by the British Parliament.
