It has just been announced over the radio that Baron Hiranuma was this evening installed as Prime Minister, and that Prince Konoye, who was appointed President of the Privy Council as successor to Hiranuma, will join the Cabinet as Minister without Portfolio. The former members of the “inner-Cabinet” which was composed of Arita, Itagaki, Yonai, Ikeda and Konoye remain in office with the exception of Ikeda who has resigned.

A detailed report of the Cabinet changes will be telegraphed as soon as official announcement is available.
