My British colleague believes that no useful purpose would be served by further representations on his part and does not propose to supplement his representations reported in our despatch 2761 of February 4, 1938.5 Please repeat to Hankow and Peiping and to the Department as our 381, June 15, 1 p.m. Grew.”
