Military Attaché8 reports from Changsha that British Ambassador has arrived there reportedly with terms from Japanese alleged to be generous and which he believes to be effort by Japanese to discredit Generalissimo by having him reject them. He also reports that it is his estimate that Chinese can hold out possibly for 6 months, that Generalissimo believes Changsha-Nanchang front will hold for 2 months.
