- A letter has been received from Li Chien-nan, who signs himself “Superintendent of Customs” announcing that he has been appointed to that position by the Reformed Government and that he assumed his duties on April 28. It is known, however, that he is not yet occupying his offices in the customs building. No acknowledgment is being made of the letter.

- It is reported in the press that Ling Chi-hung has been appointed by the Reformed Government Judge of the First Special District Court, but has made no effort thus far to assume his duties.
